Luxembourg Financial Academy - Protecting Your Personal Data

1. Introduction

Luxembourg Financial Academy, a limited liability company simplified (SARL-S) incorporated and resident in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg ("LFA" or "We"), values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Data Protection Notice ("Notice") explains how we collect, use, process, and protect personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applicable in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

✓ "You" or "User" refers to anyone accessing the website or platform of LFA, whether to navigate the site, audit the educational materials, make use of any of its functionalities, or enter into a binding contract via registering for the training provided by LFA.

✓ Security Data: includes passwords (stored in an encrypted format).

✓ Profile Data: includes your interests, preferences, feedback, social media, and curriculum vitae.

✓ Usage Data: includes information about how you use our website, products, and services.

✓ Consent: Where You have given us your consent for us to process your personal data for a specific purpose, which you do when accessing the LFA platform and/or registering to the service provided by LFA.

✓ Legitimate Interests: Where processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or by a third party, to the extent that it does not infringe your fundamental rights and freedoms.

✓ Legal Obligation: Where LFA needs to comply with a legal obligation.

We may share your personal data with:

✓ Service Providers: Third parties who provide services such as payment processing, hosting, and analytics.

✓ Legal Authorities: If required by law or to protect our rights.

✓ Partners: for the purpose of payment platform usage; for the purpose of email marketing; for hosting of the platform; and automation of the platform—as well as services, promotions, or any other purpose related to the partners of LFA, including but not limited to companies looking to hire, recruitment companies, and providers of services that may be of interest to You.

8. Data Transfers Outside the EEA

We ensure that if there is in the future any transfer of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as EU-approved standard contractual clauses, or by ensuring the recipient country has an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and, by accessing our website or using the LFA platform, you confirm that you understand and accept this.
